On my visit to Wagon Hill, I came in for an attack of another kind . Whist walking up to the Burgher Monument I came under attack from some very angry Wasps , clearly very agitated in the hot weather. Did the 100 metres in record time to evade the onslaught.
Those visiting Wagon Hill need to know that the one cemetary is inexplicably outside the main fence and still approached on the old road left of the rifle range. The rest of the area is approached using the road to the south of the rifle range and via the lodge and interpretative centre.
