Stainbank Nature Reserve

Stainbank Nature Reserve

I completed a photo shoot at the Stainbank Nature Reserve in Yellowwood Park this week and met up with members of the Wilderness Leadership School based in the park. This organization does great work in teaching people the true meaning of ecology, and its objects include protecting the wilderness areas and providing responsible guiding and tourism.
The School itself is based in the outbuildings of the Stainbank Castle, owned by the Stainbank family, who have given access to the public to this wonderful Nature Reserve. The Nature Reserve is managed by Ezemvelo Wildlife and is the home to many tree, bird and animal species.
Some of the old buildings lend themselves to fantastic photographic opportunities.
