This gallery has images of a large area of Durban that formed part of a soccer Club, horse stables (latera successful market), and the Cyril Geoghagen Velodrome. The municipality in their wisdom decided to start a soccer academy, with the support of the Liverpool Soccer Club. Leases to traders were not renewed, the Velodrome could not be maintained as they also had no lease and Berea Rovers, the oldest soccer club was forced to abandon its premises at great loss to themselves. Some recent work (2020) seems to have been done and then abandoned.
