Glenwood High School – Delville Wood Memorial Service

I was fortunate to be invited to the Glenwood Memorial and what a moving ceremony. Kevin Jordan, the science teacher organized a really memorable commemoration with DVD’s, pipes, school buglers playing the last post , a moving song “The Green Fields of France” and personal information on the Glenwood men who fell in this battle.
The tone of the service was not the glorification of war, but to commemorate the dead and highlight the horror of war and waste of good men lives.
The school can be proud of it’s efforts to pay tribute.
